Remember that feeling of excitement when seeing a car available for sale that you just had to have it at that very moment? Well, a buyer in Philadelphia, United States had a similar feeling of excitement at an auto auction recently. The car looked clean, maintained and people were bidding for it, so the buyer assumed it must be a good deal. After winning the bid, as the vehicle was unregistered, the buyer towed it to his house. The car however would not start when the buyer tried to switch on the ignition. Not a big issue he thought, and opened the hood. To his horror, the car was missing the ENTIRE ENGINE. No engine, no transmission, no radiator and no battery! If this can happen to someone who was physically present while purchasing a vehicle, imagine what can happen when buying a car from an online ad. Nothing to fear as Scout My Car’s trained in-house technician can most certainly spot a missing engine!
