Car inspection aren't only for people who don't feel knowledgable about cars, but for aficionados too!

We often get customers who are car experts, yet decide to get the car checked as they are aware about their limited car inspection skills.

A couple of months back, our customer Jari came in with a Jaguar that he wanted to purchase. The inspection quickly revealed, that the XK8 had been in an accident and required a lot of work.

Our mechanics advised him not to buy it, regardless of the price, given that he would spend enormous amounts of money on it. We estimated that he would spend around AED 30,000 to get it repaired, if not more!

Jari contacted the seller and managed to get a 10% discount on the car's listed price; yet, we still did not recommend the purchase.

A few weeks later, Jari came back to the garage saying how unlucky he was to have purchased this car.

Jari ended up spending more than AED 35,000 and the car spent 3 weeks in the workshop.

Lesson learned? If our mechanics advise against buying car, they mean it. In a lot of cases you will be able to find a better car and will save a lot of money and time!

Are you looking to buy a used car?
